SNAP Card Beneficiaries Exceed 46M for 38 Straight Months

Do you remember when in school you learned about the Great Depression of the 1930's? You saw pictures like these:

Have you asked yourself; "why haven't I seen the food lines today like back then?" OR " Why haven't I seen people living in shanty homes today like back then?"

Well it is simple as you are giving people food and a roof over their heads through your generous contributions (Taxes).

So I ran across this article this morning showing the quantity of folks on food stamps (SNAP) and I thought rather then paste the entire article I would jump to the chase and show just the graph followed by a synopsis of the article through my words.



Now you know why you are not seeing the food lines today ALA 1930's. It's SNAP cards.

Although the SNAP card his it's advantages it also has it's disadvantages too.

Advantages:
> People get food...No soup lines
> Easy distribution of food to people who need it
> See how .gov helps people in need

Disadvantages:
> When .gov tells the citizenry that things are getting better, who am I to disagree as I don't see starving people
    or soup lines
> People are slow to climb out of despair because they are being fed
> SNAP customers become dependent on .gov

I am sure there are many additional advantages or disadvantages for SNAP cards but the biggest scary one is....
What a great way for .gov to control the citizenry. Control through food.

Just some food for thought to ponder over your cup of joe this morning.
