Well we just received our second dump of snow of the 2019 fall season. A couple of inches on top of ice and the local radio station today was describing some nasty conditions out there. Since we are retired we stayed home :dancingBanana:. :trolling:

We received some heavy flurries mixed in light rain. No accumulation and warming to about 40 by mid afternoon. But cold with wind and sun for the rest of the week.
But its been a fair while since we got dumped on. I got a sneaking suspicion we might get a biggun this winter. Maybe a couple.

Say what??????? How can this be? The local weatherman got the weather exactly right. I think that's a first. He said we would get a dusting that would cover the grass but not stick to the roads. That's exactly what we got. This cannot be tolerated, He must be fired!!!

I have acorns all over the place, I haven't seen this many in years. So many the squirrels have left my bird feeders alone, that's a first. Yeah I believe we're going to have a cold snowy winter too.

We got a dusting, and the roads and the driveway stayed clear. However, it's been remarkably cold. Yesterday, I spent the afternoon working outdoors in a t-shirt, and today I'm wearing long underwear and winter weather gear. There was a nearly 50 degree difference in 24 hours.

Don't forget the global warming. Don't put the short pants and flip flops away yet.

Our pond is frozen over this morning, it got down to the lower teens. However, it is suppose to warm up into the upper 40's today. We're suppose to be in the 60's by next week. There's nothing like weather extremes.
