Where to begin.
Ok, so Yes oil was discovered, it is being called a South African game changer(time will tell i am skeptical because of our government basically selling SA to china in loans at this point so who knows what will happen)
Then on the point of safe haven Jackalope asked about, in all honesty i stopped looking because there is none. Unless we create it ourselves i can in all honesty say there are no safe havens to turn to once this gigantic festering sore decides to pop on this continent.
I noted larger and larger clusters of groups and gatherings when people go out, so i guess in some way the public has woken up to the danger but we are not quite there yet.
We had 3 robberies from when we last spoke in last year.
nothing major, general things stolen tools, gate motor, dustbins that kind of thing. (this is as common as sand in a desert)
My brain seems unable to wrap around a few things as of late.
There is a lot of activity locally and very few things reach the news.
More and more and more the public at large is being more of a reporter than many news agencies.
How is this possible?
This mornings incident reached the news but only an hour ago, the rest was spread to locals via groups and twitter.
This morning the news of a high jacking gone wrong-
https://www.timeslive.co.za/news/south-africa/2019-02-13-daspoort-tunnel-in-pretoria-reopened-after-botched-hijacking-shut-route/robberies and theft have escalated dramatically.(community knows why and we can do nothing to stop it)
So right now focused i am on upgrading what i have for SHTF prepping what i can as best i can.
I found that people mostly try and avoid conflict or even thinking about it.
I tried getting more reliable friends to join the existing group of family and friends who prep.
Safety in numbers and reliable group is key.
Also to try and include more people we can rely on but that seemed a fruitless exercise.
It is a bit saddening when you realize how very little people care about their own safety and that of others.
But keeping things as positive as possible.
My veggies and my garden is amazing and i have gotten so many things done.
I feel like i missed out on a lot of news as the posts since my last visit was 4 pages long. goodness you all were very busy.
Glad to be back.
Kind regards
