Title: ROBO-CALLS
Post by: pkveazey on November 30, 2022, 11:04:42 AM
I have been plagued with Robo-call after Robo-call and its pissing me off. Sometimes I'll get 3 or 4 of them in less than 15 minutes. I've decided that since I'm talking to a computer, even though it doesn't sound like a computer, I can can just make up random jibberish when I talk to them. They all seem to start by asking if I can hear them Ok. Hmmm. I used to say, "I can hear you just fine". Now I say something completely stupid like "Owahjobanob" or "Woowookacanoy". Their algorithm gets all confused and doesn't know how to respond. Now, instead of getting pissed off, I end up laughing my ass off. Try it, you'll like it.

  Love it PKv.

Me, my caller ID does a good job pointing out potential spam. MrsMac never answers the phone anymore. She has all calls, including mine go to the answering machine.

Me, when they get past the spam function, I say hello and then if there no immediate response, I go, "Going once, going twice, going three times good-bye" and hang up.

My phone (hate that little rat bassturd thing)  is required by wife.

It is pretty good at noting potential spam.  If it does, I answer and say nothing.  After 10-15 seconds I say something like jar of pickles, bucket of mud, bag of leaves or such.

Without a nearly immediate, obviously human responses i hang up, and swipe the block this number link on the screen.  I have been able to reduce spamorama by 99%.

Bwahahaha....That's a good one. Tonight I got another Robo-Call so I answered in Spanish. When I picked up the phone I heard that little "Boop" sound so I knew it was a Robo-Call and I said "Hola". When they asked if I could hear them I said "Si". Then I said "Habla Espanol"? Then they hung up. The wife was right next to me and she was cracking up. :lmfao:
