Trump - Clinton - 2016 Presidential Election
« on: October 11, 2016, 10:51:56 AM »
I have been putting myself through all kinds of contortions trying to talk myself into voting for Mr. Trump. One minute I am for him and the other I can not vote for him.

Many of my friends don't understand why I can not support Trump. Other left leaning friends don't understand why I will not vote for Clinton in lieu of Trump. In essence I have people all across the political spectrum questioning my not wanting to pick sides; However, not listening to my thoughts with full focus, on what all  candidates represent.

To get out of the way right off - Gary Johnson and Jill Stein.

Stein is a card carrying Socialist and being a full blooded Capitalist & Constitutionalist to vote for her would be like trying to mix oil & water. It just ain't going to happen.

Johnson is a man with a good record. Many folks in New Mexico think he was a great Governor - Both Democrat and Republican. With that written I do not support his stance on several topics with the border and 2A being at the forefront.

Now of course I could use my vote as a protest vote however that would be wrong.

Looking at Clinton and her history I can not support her either. To do so would go against my principles. With that written, my principles may be set to high and of course, I do not expect my fellow citizens to share the same principles that I have. We all know that she sold out her earlier principles long ago to become in essence the Washington DC Elite or if you rather "The Man." The Man who would do anything to advance her agenda. No more on her as it would be just beating a dead horse.

Now for the reason of this rant - Donald Trump!

Trump speaks to many things I support, e.g. border security, Constitutional Judges not Democrat or Republican judges, sending jobs overseas, like Canada 15% corporation taxes, security, 2A - And the list goes on and on.

Although many of his positions are similar to mine, I do not think that Trump has even SIMILAR principles as mine. What does that mean you may ask...Well What would he do to force his agenda? This really came home to me when he threatened Clinton with jail, if he was elected to President. That really hit me wrong. Although a great sound bite and I too think that Clinton violated laws, due to his lack of principles he is using this call for his followers to rally around him. There are others I could draw upon however you folks know them all.

I do not want you folks to stop voting for Clinton, Johnson, Stein or Trump. I just want my opposition to all four candidates to be made public. Made public to folks I value as contributors and friends who subscribe to the Unchainedpreppers forum.

With that task crossed off my check list, I need to get back to splitting wood.

I'm a bit confused with your issue against Trump here. Why exactly is it a controversial thing to threaten law breakers with jail?

JM....

I am of the opinion that there are no good options on this one.

Either way things are going to get interesting.

On a second note.... the £ to the $ is getting better for me. The lower the £ goes the happier I am.

I believe that if Killery gets elected the global sheep will see it as a good thing and the $ will become stronger to the £. Thus I win more.

If Dump gets in the difference will still exist.... yet not as strongly.

To be honest I really do not think it matters. The American Empire is in decline as was the British Empire. Not a world ending thing in itself. Just the way history repeats.

This could be a good thing. If China and Russia become the big dogs, then everyone will concentrate of hurting them.

I am all for letting them take the responsibility for policing the world. Let China and Russia become the focus of the terrorist networks.

Peace All.

He did not threaten to jail her, he said she would be in jail. Remember he said he would appoint a special prosecutor to look into her criminal activities which the FBI so carefully pointed out.
Everyone and I mean everyone sometime in their life has used locker room language especially women. To allow the unconstitutionality of political correctness to effect your vote is beyond my comprehension.    Trump is running for President not for Pope. And if this is the best they can hang on him then you know they are losing.

Another thought; Nobama is furious with Russia, he says they are interfering with our election. If they are that means he is afraid of the truth coming out. If they're not then he is trying to blow smoke up our a$$es.

Do what I plan to to do.  Take your hiking stick to the polls.  Hold your nose and flip the Trump lever with the far point of your stick.  Mine is about 5.5 feet long.  Going with the idea of lesser of 2 evils is not a good way to think about it.

Go with the thought that you are voting for Trump for the sole purpose of protecting America and the framers ideas of what it is and should be from the forthcoming Clinton fiasco and whatever "living document" Justices she appoints to SCOTUS.

That is the long term scary part.  Real scary.

I'll just re-post these quotes from another topic right about...here:

...What people fail to realize is that your not voting for Trump your voting on the next three Supreme Court  Justices. If the Republicans lose it will be forty years before we will have a chance to get our freedom back...

Just remember, by sitting this one out, you're refusing to lift a finger to help prevent Horror Show Hillary from taking office for a 4 year minimum...where she will inevitably wave her broomstick and appoint what might as well be a life sentence of every sort of leftist judicial fuckery imaginable.

Very good point there JoJo.  I think you just convinced this politically cynical 40+ year old to register and vote (for Trump while holding my nose) for the first time in my life.

Bragging about sexual assault is not locker room talk.  Threatening political opponents with jail is not promising justice.  Whipping up racism, hate, and fear is not patriotism.

Trump talks about being conservative, but he has no record as he's not a politician.  As much as he flip flops and lies you can't trust that he'll do what he says he'll do (even if I thought most of what he says he'd do were good, which I don't).  Trump is loathed by most of the world and has turned our election into a humiliation of global proportions.

Hillary is a liar and a crook, but at least she knows what the #&$^ she's doing in Washington and around the world.
Stein is an anti-vaxxer nut job.
Johnson is a joke who can't even name one other world leader - I'd be surprised if he could find DC on a map, much less Aleppo.

But Trump is the very devil and will drive our country into a ditch from which we will never recover.
