I love Chuck! And you know he is right!!

Just in case you didn't get his info it is: smithfix@hotmail.com and his cell is: 817.688.0079.

Sorry TG to go off on a rant here...We SP forum guys bitch and whine all the time. We post news ariticles and on occasion post something to help out a brother or sister.

I challenge you all to do something in your community to fight "the man." Whether it is raising chickens or regularly going to your city council meeting and being a voice.

I was the chairman of my town's coastal commission but I resigned after 10 years last year because I was tired of the BS. Well it's time for me to get back on the old horse and start to go to town meeting's again. I can just see the town council roll their eyes when I walk back in to the next meeting.  [url=http://www.freesmileys.or

LOL!  Yeah, nothing scares "the man" like a flock of free ranging chickens.  I assume these chickens are to provide eggs for throwing?   :)

Sledge, LMFAO!!! You are a hoot!

It reminds me (Sorry Ken) when we use to set eggs out about 3-4 weeks before Halloween to "mellow." On or about Halloween we use to egg peoples houses and passing cars.  :))

It was all fun and games until one night my buddy broke an egg in his hands before we threw it. Man did he stink!!  :)) :)) :))

Man that's funny shit! Thinking back- How did we ever not get arrested for the crap we did? God only knows.

Again, sorry Ken...I do not advocate anybody throwing anything at moving vehicles...EVER!

LAO- 1000 Meter you too funny! "You funny man"!! What movie dd that line come from?????

Hey I just got back from a concert that my wife dragged me to. The musicians name was: Jake Shimabukuro and his instrument of choice was the ukulele. Man this guy ROCKED! I was blown away.

The venue was a small one that maybe housed 250-300 people called: The Narrows in Fall River, MA. I liked the venue so much that I bought tickets for:

> Kinky Friendman,
> Fred Eaglesmith, and
> Jefferson Starship.

If only the Cowboy Junkies were on the bill later in the year I would have been in nirvana!

No beer or wine but you can bring your own.  :))

Was there an ordinance in place when Chuck got these chickens? I don't know. This Chuck guy. I'm just not feeling him. (as some of our more urban friends would say) Yeah, he makes some good points and you gotta respect a man standing up for himself. But it's almost like he's trying to guilt me into joining him on his crusade. I'm just not ready to go to war over Chuck's chickens. Besides, he reminds me of a friend of mine that I grew up with and is like a brother to me. Stature and everything, and one is enough. Anyway, I hope he fares well with his situation but I'm gonna have to sit this one out. Good luck Chuck!

Yeah, I get a sense of that too. Regardless, everyone should try to be involved in your local boards and what not and at least attend meetings. Be vocal when something is wrong and broken in your community.

Chuck had chickens and rabbits many years before the town passed the new ordinance. He also followed up with the city council who assured him that he would still be allowed to have his chickens and rabbits.

Well once the ordinance was passed he received a letter telling him he could not keep chickens and rabbits any more.

He has vowed not to go the same way that Andrew Wordes in GA. did: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2120768/Andrew-Wordes-Chicken-Man-kept-roosters-backyard-commits-suicide-house-explosion.html

I think his major point was for us to stand up and fight more & more restrictions that government is putting on us. It's the old "putting a frog in warm water that is on a stove Vs. putting the frog in a boiling pot of water."

Thanks for bringing me up to date on his situation JohnyMac. I do remember hearing about Andrew Worde. Yeah, if he had his chickens and rabbits when they made the new law, then you would think he would be grandfathered in. He should definitely get to keep his animals. Also, I realize his main point was standing up against all of the crap. I fully agree. Anyway, again, thanks for filling me in.

The title of this thread should have been "quite condescending."  I'm doing all I can given my means in my Area of Operations and so are my prepping buddies.  I don't need a sermon about how I'm not "fighting the man enough."  I'm fighting through sheer force of will and lifestyle which he hates.  I seriously doubt 98% of cops can outshoot me.  I have a friend in Fort Wayne with a child that he can't exactly figure out what is wrong with him.  He is a frustrated parent trying to figure out what is wrong with his son.  Running out out options and searching for an answer he is now seeking Holistic medicine and diagnosis.  His son was twice removed from school without notifying the parents and transported to a mental institution by the Ft. Wayne police department (corrupt bastards).  THAT IS KIDNAPPING!!  Unless the child is under arrest that is KIDNAPPING!  Since it has happened twice now my buddy is seriously considering filing criminal kidnapping charges against the Ft. Wayne Police department.  They are sworn to uphold the law yet they break it at every turn.  No one is above the law... [img]http://www.smileydesign.n

Did chuck email you the video and say he made a video specifically about you or something because i didnt hear him name you by name? if your doing all you can then hes not talking about you...

I seriously doubt 98% of cops can outshoot me.

I'm adressing a real-world child with problems and crimes against this child and Ken is construing and twisting and convoluting it into personal attacks against me.  Real classy.  If your mind is that diseased and twisted I feel genuine pity for you and you belong in California.    Anyway, I have a vested interest in this child.  Although I am not related to this child I am referred to as "Uncle Dennis" by all 3 of this man's children.  We have been friends for a quarter of a century.  I have known all 3 children their whole lives; and the only Uncle they have.

I honestly think the  video is badass and it's something that needs to be said. I don't see how it's condescending. dude is speaking to all the fairweather patriots that we all know exist. I'd venture to say that most of the guys here fit the description (myself included).

Honestly you lost me... its like i read your reply 10 replies ahead because it makes no sense to me. it has no response to anything ive written at all.

I know this may come off as irreversable damage to any future comradery between us but i feel i need to say it. Its almost as if you are so self centered that anything anyone writes you take as a personal attack. example A being your response to the video above and Example B being you claiming i made a personal attack on you with my last reply.

Point A: the video was towards people who arent doing enough. if you feel you are then ignore the fucking video its not for you he didnt look you directly in the eyes he cant see you through the moniter.

Point B: being a better shooter then 98% of cops has nothing to do with the topic. its not a personal attack to point out that you brought that up for seemingly no other reason then to bang your fists against your chest. if im incorrect and youd like to explain how that is important to the topic please do.

Point C: wtf does your child friend have to do with this topic.. how did we make this very important very broad discussion about your personal problems?

Point D: The whole California comments from you are getting old grow up already, making low immatures attacks like that make you look small.

I got a little lost in this thread until I went back and analyzed it in detail.

Ken I think 1000 was saying he is doing all that he can at present.

Shoot better than the cops.   Means he's been spending time practicing.

The problems trying to help his friend with his kid who is having problems is also taking up quite a bit of time.  So he doesn't have any more time to commit.  It all goes back to his original statement of doing all that he can.

If I miss construed anything you were saying 1000 please correct me.

Other then connecting the dots on the 98% thing i understood he was saying hes doing all that he can but i just didnt and still dont see why he attacked the video if it had nothing to do with him based on what weve read. not trying to be a dick here just seemed to me 1000's argument came out of left field is all.

Watching that video on my part was just bad timing and it set me off.  It's frustrating when you are adhering to and following the law while you are against a system that makes up whatever rules it wants and doesn't have to adhere to the law.  It's an uneven playing field and very frustrating.   [img]http://www.arrse.co.uk/at
