Prepping Success stories.
« on: February 02, 2012, 10:57:06 PM »
Hey Gang,

I just scored some great deals at the local SprawlMart and I thought that we needed a section where we could brag about what great luck we had.

So post up you're scores no matter how you came by them. You might turn someone one to a great buy somewhere.

O I got one.

I just placed an order from someone ( trustworthy ) that is selling IMI 147 Grain Subsonic 9mm
Specifically says " this ammo sucks 3/5 go supersonic "

I'm not running anything suppressed so I asked " Have you had any faulty rounds? Failure to detonate anything like that? "

He said " No, just some seem to break the speed of sound. "

So I order 5 boxes of 50 for $4 a piece. + 10 Shipping. That's still way cheaper than the value pack at Wally

I assume you haven't had economics yet.  "There is no thing as a free lunch" comes to mind.  Your mom still had to pay for it, so no, it was not free.

old news isnt relevant to current situations? it only grows truer every day... getting it where you can while you can might get you screwed by some one if they can when they can.

Im not saying dont buy from walmart im just saying dont buy it all at one time.

So I live in a pretty small town and because of that people get to know one another, maybe not really know them but see them around, know where they live and what not.

Because of that I tend to not clear the shelf anywhere I go I also joke around about what I do buy. Like saying "damn thats a good buy, I don't know when or how I am going to eat that much chilli but by god I can't pass up that good of a deal!" Mostly people think I am cheap like fuck. Which is better than blowing my local OPSEC.

Even if you stole the vehicle and gas for the vehicle, that still cost somebody something, so you fail again.

Even if you killed a deer with a knife that you created out of the ground, it still took you TIME to kill the deer.  If you didn't know, TIME is money, so you still fail.

You see, you can never get away from economics.  Economics is organic.

Hello Gents.
I picked up a Moss 500 modded. A bunch of 00 and slugs. I also bought cast iron cookwear to cook on the wood stove or open flame. I filled up seven 5 gallon Jerry cans. Yes, the monsoon is headed our way. May think about cashing shit as well.
