Candles and fire
« on: September 04, 2012, 03:02:02 AM »
Well NOLA I gave you plenty of chances to post this!! But call it pay back for the ak! So a buddy of mine that recently went thru a big storm and lost fire for a few days, was buring candles for light. Well it just so happens that one of said light souces burnt down and caught on furnature on fire. Nothing major everything was ok, thanks to a random stranger. But folks its something to think about in a wrol/shtf situation when fire is light. Hurricane lamps are the way to go before candles and if you are running candles have them contained. Nola just remember buddy I still love ya and jesus does too [URL=http://www.smileyvault.co  >:D

yea. all these preps and I burn to death because of a fucking candle. [img]http://www.arrse.co.uk/at

no really guys, that shit was fucked up. I go to sleep and the lady is still awake, and I wake up to her screaming at me and the dresser on fire. a random guy driving by saw it through the window and beat on the door. (she was out back when the fire started)

I'd be a dead motherfucker if it weren't for that dude.

I know it's funny and all, and I'll gracefully accept the payback for that god awful excuse for an AK build.  ;D but seriously, be careful guys. it's usually the dumb shit that gets us when we least expect it. things that are easily preventable are also easily overlooked.

Glad you are safe bro.

thanks buddy. there were two things that messed with my head. 1: such a simple and seemingly negligible thing bringing my demise, and 2: the fact that for a moment, my own life and/or livelihood was in the hands of a stranger. it's a strange feeling, especially for a prepper.

Did the candle get knocked over, or did a curtain blow into the flame?

Thank God that the man was walking past your house and saw the fire NOLA. I am glad that you and your family is safe.

I started a new post in D.I.Y "Light in TEOTWAWKI" to chat about light when your electric goes out.
