Title: Prep Inventory
Post by: gadget99 on May 24, 2015, 10:59:44 AM
Well..... Being in the UK and living in a row house that was built in the 1830's. We have been stuffing what we buy for our preps wherever we could.

So I decided to build a shed in the garden to use to organise our preps. Mainly the gear.

So the shed is up and moved a potion of the gear out there today to start organising.

Well I still have a huge amount of stuff to bring out still and I am REALLY happy. We have a he'll of alot of stuff. Not worried due to the fact that all the extra stuff is worth a mint in trading material come SHTF.

Even better Ai am going to keep buying... Lol.

Just think what a disposable lighter is going to be worth in trade.

I will say one thing. I don't know how it is in the states. Yet here we can get stuff on ebay from China that is majorly cheap delivered to your door. I got 5 Baofeng 888-s radio's delivered for about $60.

That and the ex-soviet stuff is really cheap.

Channels are in place. its possible.

I like the idea of a seperate spot to stow gear but then again I don't. Eggs in one basket kind of thing.

My gear is centralized around a core. The most depended spot in the house.
Except for exceptions that are very very hidden. Buried to be exact.

Good point Reaver..... Am using the shed to organise the gear then putting things where they need to be. The backard is only about 25ft by 60ft and walled in so pretty secure for stuff.

RvR, there are many a UK household that has a rifle or shotgun in the rafters of the attic, cellar or barn - Don't let 'em fool ya'  ;)

The McEwing's are a good sized clan in the Northern Scottish hills as well as in the NE part of the states.  :dancingGrenade:

I play some video games with a Brit.

His grandfather passed away last words where " in the wall, I love you "
No one knew what the hell he meant for a long time. They went to remodeling and found a sten with magazines. A Negant pistol and boxes of ammo.

They turned them in like good model servants and they where smelted.

Fuckin idiots

Yep... Sure there are lots hidden away. Yet the vast majority of the population in disarmed.

I mean that at many levels. Enough time has past now that the majority of the populace is pacified.

Unfortunately that does not setup the populace to survive well in Shtf.

Somehow I think there are more than dayum few over there with the attitude like gadget99 who recognize the world as it is and might be alot more prepped than anyone realizes.

At least I hope so.

Even though most people in Great Britain speak another completely incomprehensible (to Americans) language, I like them.
