Its the most fun I've ever had with my clothes on that is for sure... building AK47's from kits. It really is a hell of a lot of fun, but it can also be a huge pain in the ass, because there are always snags. It does make you proud as hell when your roll out to the range and put on right in the bull'seye at 100 yards from your AK that you just saw built right in front of you. Its pretty damn cool, I gotta say.

We don't weld our AK's we rivet them or you can even do a screw build, but I would never let GAP weld one of my rifles. It take just about 5 pounds of lateral pressure (trying to chop down a tree with it) and of course a weld is going to pop like a woman at nine months.

Havent heard a ton about palmetto state lowers, I a couple of them at a gun store in town and well they look like stripped lowers. not much to say about them.
