When we were up at the BOL, the amount of folks coming into PA from NY to buy ammo was mind numbing.
One of the mom & pops was limiting ammo to two boxes of each caliber to each customer. The other mom & pop store, who sells ammo and reloads specialty rounds for customers told a story to my neighbor and I.
A guy came into his shop and put every box of 9mm in a cart and walked to the register. The owner told him he could only have a couple of boxes as he needed inventory for other customers. The guy told the owner, "no I am buying it all." Well the owner got a shotgun and told the guy to leave the store. The guy did and the owner followed him outside to make sure he left. Yup, the customer had NY plates on his truck.
Think about it...The shortage of ammo we are experiencing is a microcosm of what will happen with everything when the collapse happens. IMO, if you can't buy ammo or only limited qty's spend those dollars on prepping items. Sit down with a pencil and paper and brainstorm on all of the things you might need. Think outside the box. If your spouse, boy friend, girlfriend is into prepping too, have them brainstorm with you. They will think of things that you would never think of like; glue, nails, screws, medical thermometers, laundry soap, big ass galvanized basin for cleaning clothes, big box hardware store 5 gal. plastic buckets...... The list goes on and on.
Anyway, enough rambling writing's from JohnyMac.
