Looks good. One other suggestion is:
Have one like the Join or Die but instead of the cut up rattle snake flag sunstitute the Don't Tread on Me Flag.

Been toying around with artwork for a SP patch. Could add color, but thought I'd keep it black and white for the time being. Anyone know a patch-maker? Anyone interested in a SP patch? Maybe all profits (if any) could go to the hosting bill of the forum or some other noble cause? Comments appreciated, thanks.

Pretty cool patch. I'd buy one. How hard is it to toy around with the artwork? This patch is cool. I just figured if you could come up with different ideas. We could take a poll or something.

It's fairly easy to manipulate the artwork at this point. Just need to find the time to sit down without distractions to get some more variations going. If other people want to come up with their own patch, that's cool too. This particular idea had been sitting on my desktop in pieces for more than 6 months before it got to this point. I'm not the official graphic designer of the site or anything, just trying to help out with whatever my skills allow for.

While it would be interesting to see any ideas, If this this was the only patch I view, I think it more than works. It's a really cool patch, and like I said, I would buy one. Great job crudos!

I could throw in some pink in either design. Will work something up next time I take a peek at the files.
Haven't had much spare time to do much research on patch making companies and the possible cost involved.

We have a doughnut shop in our town and the lady that owns it also has an embroidery business. We'll find out how much she'd charge for some patches. Any excuse to swing by the doughnut shop... :)

Thanks for checking on your end. Apparently there are also PVC, IR, Hi Viz in addition to regular embroidered patches, all of which I am slowly learning about and their uses. Being a printing geek and working in the printing industry, I find these new processes fascinating. Will keep the thread updated as I learn more.

I am in contact with Combat Swag (http://www.combat-swag.com/COMBAT-SWAG.html) as a patch maker, from recommendations by the folks at Monderno.com. Seems like soft PVC is the way to go, and still retain detail of the design. Hoping to get pricing later today or tomorrow to everyone. Minimum quantity is 50. Looks like we can add some color too. Any suggestions welcomed. I generally like the current designs, but need to make a few tweaks here and there based on the patch maker recommendations. If enough people are interested and TG agrees, then we can move forward. Would have to work out logistics of monies, etc. Probably start out with one of the designs and see how that goes. I would be okay getting the final design to the patch maker, and then having the TG family have full control of the design and ordering them from that point on, just as long as I get artistic credit. My main drive for this was as a way to help the forum with any hosting costs, or whatever TG sees fit to use it for. I've learned a hell of a lot in my short time here, and this is my way to give something back to the community.

Here's the pricing, which includes any set-up fees, but NOT shipping.
We'll quote you PVC on these, as we are moving away from embroidered altogether -- plus this would be better with the detail. Min order is 50 pieces.
For the 3x2: (hat patch)
50- $6.75
100- $4.95
250- $2.85
500- $1.95
And for the larger: (shoulder/bag patch)
50- $7.10
100- $5.20
250- $3.00
500- $2.15
That price will get you a 2D/3D soft PVC patch of up to 5 colors with Velcro hook backing.

Here is my suggestion:
Lets see if we can get people on SP to commit to buy X number of patches. If we can get an order for 50 or so for the 3x2 hat patch and similar per-request for shoulder patch we order.
With shipping and handling added in the first fifty hat patches and shoulder patches would cost $10- ea.
Put your order here and lets see what we get.
I would like to buy 3 hat patches and 3 shoulder patches.

Question. I voted on the poll. With the vote, are we committing to one patch, each type, either or, both, what? I don't wear hats, so my interest would be in shoulder patches mostly. Would just need one, but will purchase a couple more to help with the cause. Just need to be clear on what I am doing ?

TG, I'm not set on PVC, but was who I happened to get a pricing from. Personally, I prefer an embroidered patch. I might have to simplify some of the design so the details don't end up looking like blobs when it's embroidered. If you can find someone who'd do it that way, I'm totally good with that and will adjust accordingly.
Oh, btw, I'll be in for a couple patches, exact number unknown yet.

Sent out a request for a quote for embroidered patches from Infidel Caps per another recommendation. If anyone knows of a patch maker they have experience with, let me know and I can get a quotes from them too.

Not sure why they didn't also quote the hat patch. Will follow-up on that. Also have some ideas of adding some color to the patches. Maybe we could even have general public patch, that anyone could buy. And have a special version for contributing forum members. Just a thought. More to come, got some ideas brewing in my noggin.
