Yep, we had about 13 7/8" here (not Orwell), put the snowshoes on to go get the mail, hopefully that's the last time I'll use them until December or January. It's just barely freezing, so it's a wet, heavy snow that's bringing down all the Ash trees killed by the Emerald Ash Borer, and along with them, a good number of powerlines. Also lost phone service to certain areas. Even the local 2m repeaters are acting up. Luckily today is my day off, so I'm working hard at being lazy.
This morning when I woke up, I had no idea if we had commercial power or not, and I didn't really care. That's the best part about being prepared for things, if it's not a major catastrophe, you can relax, enjoy some strange weather, and catch up on other things. I won't say "no worries", but at least no
immediate worries.
And it's supposed to be 70 on Sunday, so it won't be around long. Not even supposed to be below freezing for the next 10 days. The garden is going to be a mudhole for a few days though.
