The tactical jumps at the beginning were hilarious :D

Those sticky shells are something weird

haha yeah... i was doing it to be funny and then i looked at my friend and laughed and said did you see that and hes all "see what?"... lol then later he obviously saw it and was like wtf.

as far as the failure to eject shells deal... i was thinking i may have been short stroking it... ill have to shoot some more to confirm the theory.

EDIT: yeah upon further inspection theres no way im short stroking it to cause it to not properly eject. this gun be fucked up.... damn remington and there horrible quality control. two problems for the price of one shotgun...  i could have save money and went with a mossberg and had no problems... oh well...

It seems its very common to have extraction problems with the 870... these threads surely will help you Kentactic

yeah i knew going in to expect that remingtons were piles of shit... i went against my better judgment and bought one anyways... if it turns out im not short stroking it then ill go in search of a gun problem.. and as far as the jamming action it started to clear up toward the end of my shoot. so if that dosent clear up ill polish the chamber.

Yeah, then after that you'll find out they have the huge rust problem...I didn't know that before I bought mine, otherwise I might have looked at a Mossy or not have bought one at all.

I found mine rusted because I had it stored inside its case, now I keep it outside and I never saw it rust again.

I was told that the padding of the case absorbs air humidity and that helps rust formation, plus the forearm movement seriously damages the blueing.

Mine rusts a little, and it sits openly on the shelf, in a closet with the door open. It's not too far from a clothes dryer, so some warm moisture gets there, but it's not bad at all. I have a Springfield M1A sitting beside it, and have yet to find any rust on her. I looked online once after wiping the rust off my 870, and found a post someone made about it. He said that Remington uses a certain metal when manufacturing the 870 that is prone to rust. It's happened enough to me (especially since I really don't touch it at all), that I believe his post.

Same happened to the barrel on my Benelli.  I put a light coat of oil on it, and never had a problem since.

well it seems as though the jamming has been corrected aswell as magazine tube problems... i was still having some issues with the shells not fully ejecting clear of the chamber but only on an emergency reload where perhaps im not racking it all the way back (short stroking it). so that may be a user error so ill have to do more testing.

Also ive modified my Emergency reloads to be almost identical hand/arm positioning as to that of a standard pistol reload... its pretty cool. ill make a video once i get settled in at the new place some time in a week or two.

I didn't watch your vids but do you have a mag tube extension on the gun?
The spring may be to long. Alot of company's use one spring length and you have to cut it to the number of shells your extension holds.
I have my spring a little over powered so when it breaks in a couple years it will have perfect spring tension.
If  i pussy foot racking it back and don't get it back all the way 1 out of 20 times i'll have a problem.

yes it came from the factory with a mag tube extension. the springs correct to the gun. the problems not extracting a shell out of the mag tube into the gun to be chambered. the problem is ejecting the spent shells clear of the ejecting port so the bolt can then close on a new round. essentially something similar to what a pistol malfunction would call a stove pipe. but like i said i may be short stroking it. if the action isnt moved all the way to the rear with a decent amount of force then the shell wont hit the little dimple hard enough or at all and the shell dosent kick out. so like i said i need to see if im short stroking it by really focusing on slamming that action back when i do my emergency reloads because thats pretty much the only time i run into the problem. when im normally cycling the gun it works pretty good i think...
