Need some oregano for that pasta sauce. Jump in your car and drive to the market for some...Then home again.
Don't want to cook dinner - Well go out to the local eatery and order up a storm.
Just think for a minute what would happen if you had no money - What would you do to eat? Just think of all of your neighbors who live paycheck to paycheck. What are they going to do if they loose their job. Then multiply that by 50% of the households in the country.
The government will not be able to help past a certain point - Then what?
I suspect we will see a depression like we have never seen within a century. Just look at what is happening in Venezuela.
On another note: Lets say you and your family have done your part to be prepared for SHTF. Then the inevitable happens and all of your friends and family start to show up at your door. What is your plan? Take them in and inevitably your family suffers or turn them away.
I am going to start a subject line on that question.
