I just spent 2 days removing 1,040 security risks.
« on: February 07, 2017, 04:46:21 PM »
 Like the heading says. The main problem (MyWay.com) ADWARE came in attached to either Google Earth or another Google down lode that I can't remember the name of. This dot com changes your home page and allows other security risks and viruses to  lode onto your computer. You have to find out which program loaded the adware, you have to delete it from your control panel and run Malwarebytes.com.. It took awhile to find out what my problem was and how to fix it,
 I now have my emails, video and home page back. :-[

Malware sucks!  I run malwarebytes every once in a while, just to make sure nothing has seeped into my PC.  Another program that I use is Combofix, which takes care of the things the malwarebytes doesn't find.

@Jackalope

I get Norton free from my ISP and only up lode a free version of  MALWARYBYTES when I feel I have a problem. Is COMBOFIX a free program?

Myway is a n ADWARE which is why I had a problem finding it.

Yup, Combofix is free.  It's an older program, but more thorough than Malwarebytes, and because of that it runs much slower.  If I have a serious problem I first run Malwarebytes and then Combofix.
