Hey guys, I created an ebook with all the posts from John Mosby's Mountain Guerrilla old blog.
The ebook is in mobi and epub format, hope you find it as useful as I do.

wtf is epub and mobi formats?
couldn't you have made it into a pdf or some kind of free liberated format.
i literally can't do anything with these without installing some proprietary program

PDF is a free liberated format? I'm sure you read your PDFs using notepad to avoid installing "proprietary software"
There isn't a more free format than ePub you ungrateful fuck, if you can't do shit with it is because you don't know how to use google,

I take back what i said about installing proprietary software, I didn't think there was any open source ebook formats out there.
I perfer pdfs or the open source equivalent, I don't need adobe software to open them ether.

No problem man, everything ok.
PDF format sucks because it has fixed format, is like a picture, so depending the size of your reading device you could end up with extremely small text that's unreadable, besides is an extremely closed format, readers other than Adobe's ones don't fully support the format, and also there are know security vulnerabilities in PDFs that can compromise your computer because it supports a scripting language.
New ebook formats like mobi/epub are dynamic, the text is saved like in an HTML webpage, so the paragraph adapts to your device width, and you can change font size.
To read mobi/epubs you can use Calibre also, it supports all kind of formats and its the program I used to create the compilation, its use is kind of complicated, but in its installation directory there is an executable called "ebook-viewer.exe" using that you can open the ebook without worrying about the libraries and all that crap.
Calibre is free and you can get it from http://calibre-ebook.com/download (http://calibre-ebook.com/download)
Maybe with the free amazon Kindle reader for PC you can also read the .mobi

Yup. A year ago or so I downloaded the Kindle PC. It was free and I have been very happy with it.

Thanks APX. I was just about to start whining about it not being in PDF also. I've got the Calibre for Mac OSx downloading right now. Now if I can just figure our how to use it... after I scan it for malware *cough*
EDIT: After only a few moments of confusion, I got APX's Epub file to work in Calibre. I give Calibre a "nearly idiot proof" thumb up rating.
