I have been doing a great deal of self reflection as of late.
In this I have rediscovered and recognized who and what I am.
There is a bit of context here. A very good friend of mine a few years ago aske me some very probing questions. We were at the pub so I answered his questions with truth that actually disturbed him a bit.
Let us start out with the way I am and will be in relation to SHTF. I will take care of mine and my own, then will take care of as many people as I can.
Now that the benevolent part is done, let us deal with the difficult stuff.
I was a sniper in Panama and ended up being in charge of 18 sniper teams. aside from the normal training I stressed how a sniper team can be a combat multiplier. First by providing intel on the enemy with optics, second by calling for indirect fire on enemy positions and then using aimed fire to interdict an enemy location.
I want to focus on the interdiction fire for this post.
Yes selecting machine gun crew is important, yet there is an even more valuable target.
Take the time to find the baby brother, youngest soldier of the unit you are watching. Then due to the fact that being the junior member of the unit. They will be the one that will be serving chow. You shoot him as he is doing this. So the majority of the unit see's thier kid brother die in front of them.
This is how my mind works.
A big difference from the civilian mindset.
