Title: Major IT Issue with SP- Bumping it up to General Discussion

I have been avoiding to post on the site (Maybe a god thing) because I keep getting timed out.

Is there a fix? Is someone working on it? Is there an ETA of when it will be fixed.

I've typed up a post a couple times for a topic then went to post, had to go back, and ended up loosing the whole damn thing so I said screw it.

On a side note, if anyone's using Windows, I keep getting this security update that ends in "5422." I've had to delete it several times now because when it downloads I can't access and sites that require a log in. I did mulitple virus, malware, adware scans and my system is clean as a whistle. I know it's not affecting the site, but just fyi.

All good man. I figured it out. The problem started when the update started going out on 1/12/2012 for Windows XP/7 users only.

Post by: STRAITJACKET on February 02, 2012, 09:17:45 PM: I looked into it a little, sounds like some of the reported errors that you guys have posted on and that are in the error log may be server side issues. I just updated the forum package, we were running an out dated version of SMF and there were some bugs and reported security issues that were fixed. I dont know if the update will solve all of the issues or not , I havent gotten an error message yet. Post up if it remains a problem or if you guys are still seeing these errors and I'll see what I can do if anything.

Your welcome Sir, hows it running for ya after the update. Just wondering because I wasnt having the issue prior so I have no way of knowing if the update actually worked/helped?

EDIT: Yeah, I'm on a Mac and am not having any un-ordinary problems with this site.

Side Note: I've been running a Mac for about 2 years technician free....I'm never going back to Windows.
