A van/truck driver up a sidewalk running over pedestrians and a short distance away a couple guys jump out of a car on a stabbing spree.
Maybe they should think about legalizing civilian owned and carried handguns again? Faster deportation proceedings, to include citizenship revocations.
Report at 0001 EDT, 4 June, 6 dead, 30 injured.
3 attackers reportedly dead, not counted in above numbers.

Fully agree with you there Nemo.
While I like living in the UK.
The prime complaint I have is that the populace is totally disarmed and discouraged from being responsible for or acting in a manner of self preservation. Not all mind you. You notice that these things happen where there are slot of snowflakes.
There are parts of this society that would hand the terrorists Thier heads if they tried anything around them. An example of this are the football hooligans.

Haven't turned on the tely so thx for the heads up Nemo.
Things are sure heating up in England (Not Scotland or Ireland mind you). Will the EU be far behind? I wonder why there hasn't been more attacks here?
This might be the summer that the Daesh make their big play.
On the flip side, it is sad amd MrsMac and my prayers go out to our brothers and sisters across the pond.

You can pray for them but don't feel sorry for them. It may sound cruel but they brought it on themselves, they even elected a muslim mayor who just brushed it off. Paraphrasing: Nothing to worry about, this is the safest city in the world. It just might be if your a jihadist.

The media and the muslim mayor of London are chastising President Trump for not fact checking saying that he took what the muslim mayor said out of context that he meant that they were safe at the moment because of the police presents.
Boy you can't cure STUPID. What about the 3,000 jihadists and 23,000 sympathizers in Londen
Will somebody please tell the mayor that "When seconds count the police are just eight minutes away".

On a news report this evening I saw something and I was shocked. I have near given up on Great Britain.
In the US you can routinely see and its the general govt/police position that if you are in a situation like a mall shooting or workplace/school shooting the appropriate response is to-- Run, Hide, Fight.
Run away if you can, Hide if you cannot get away and Fight if you must. If you fight you must go into it with the idea of you will take him with you.
The sign I saw on the news, posted on a street in London was-- Run, Hide, Tell. As in Run or Hide and Tell the police.
So please tell me those Brits ain't ready to give up if they cannot get away? I hope to all thats Holy most British men, and fair number of women (at least both over 40) are strong believers in the US method.
Please!

Nemo.
You have captured the crux of my current concerns.
The UK has become to civilised. Don't get me wrong. There are many strengths and things I like about the society here in the UK.
One of the few major complaints I have though. Is that the society here has become a but to civilised. The individual does not possess the legal rights required to defend themselves. A person cannot carry on their person anything that can be used to hurt another person. An individual cannot even own or carry pepper spray or a stun gun.
I understand how this has came to be. Yet there are no longer any easy answers to be to fix it.
So yes your observation is indeed correct about what people are told to do here in a situation. This is indeed unfortunate. I personally wish the powers that be would step back a bit and allow the individual the ability to take their personal security in hand.
