Used to be Location was most important. Seems to be some evidence that is important but Velocity is the thing nowadays. That means barrel length.
From which you can infer-- size does matter!

That article has some interesting info......but Ill stick with shot placement as the most important factor. The multitude of tests showing the nominal difference in damage between .45, 9mm, and .40 speaks to this more than this article. If you dont get your hits on critical areas then the differences in handgun caliber velocities doesnt make as much of an difference. Ill stick with Location, location, location.
