ID This Rifle/Cartridge

Looks like one of the Nitro Express to me but I thought they were only in double rifles.  From article linked below.

If you need a second magazine, its time to call in air support.

God created Man, Col. Sam Colt made him equal, John Moses Browning turned equality to perfection, Gaston Glock turned perfection into plastic fantastic junk.

The straight bolt, angled back, indicates that to me also, but what caliber are those bullets?

It ain't one of them.  It was for rhinoceroses.  Not elephants.  Sheesh, BFRs are for elephants.  Thats why the elephant got him.  He did not have enough gun.

Remember, always take enough gun.

 Looks like a 30-40 krag . That's my guess.

Looks to me like a sporterized Mauser action. Also looks like or really similar to a 375 H&H Magnum.  It would make sense as that was a popular round for big game and was commonly seen in converted Mauser.

Just a guess.
