A Federal Judge in Richmond Va. has ruled that barring 18 year olds from buying handguns is unconstitutional. My guess is, the Judge actually has a brain in his head. 18 year olds can serve in the military so the bullshit arguement that they aren't mature enough to have handguns is a load of horse hockey.

It is refreshing to see an occasional judge that fully understands the Second Amendment. I wish it would happen more often.

I question the maturity of anyone under 40, heck even 50 sometimes. Kids today dont even know which bathroom to use, eat tide pods and demand they get recognized for whatever gender or animal they claim to be on any given day....

Agreed, good to see some common sense coming out of formerly communist Richmond. I was expected to take a bullet at 18 for the nation, so it simply makes sense that an 18 year old has the right to fire a few in self and family defense.

This is a bit of a convoluted case. 18-20 can buy handguns. From a private citizen but not from an FFL dealer. That basically says they can buy used, but not new. That was the nut of the case.
The case is from a Federal District Court which is basically the trial level. In order to be of serious weight, it must be heard and decided by a Federal Appellate level court. In VA its the Federal 4th Circuit Court of Appeals. Side note-- they have already decided "assault rifles" are outside the protections of 2A. Keep in mind this was prior to the Bruen decision.
The Federal law prohibits sale through a FFL of a handgun to anyone under 21. This case says that law is outside the 2A and invalid. A large part of the argment in favor of the prohibition was the idea of 18-20 can buy used.
Its actually quite and informative and educational opinion. Well worth reading.

Who wants to bet, as Federal judges make ruling's more and more in favor of the Constitution, the MSM news will start to turn up the volume on the Judicial part OF our Constitution. It is happening now with Sr. Associate Justice Thomas.
