So I assume you will still be GApatriot and not TNpatriot or some such?
And congrats.

Still in ga, about 45 minutes out of the Atlanta metro. The best part is that when I get the other 20 acres I will own half of my great-grandfather 's original farm. The land is a little neglected but can be brought back with some work. I'm so stoked to start building my homestead.

Nothing beats the smell of your own dirt. Congrats

What tractor re you going to use to bring things back? :tractor:
If you have heavy brush to cut up / chop through - Think goats. Borrow a herd or buy a herd and then sell 'em after they have done their job. It is amazing what a herd of goats will eat their way through in a short time.

At least a ford 3000 hopefully larger, maybe a massy or ih. Can't afford the big green ones. But I have use of several tractors and a few bobcats and one track hoe for the time being. And a spreader truck with no brakes, that should be interesting. I thought about the goats, but I'm starting to lean more towards pigs. Plus I found a great deal on some pigs. And I really love my bacon. Only Muslim I know that loves pork

Pigs will eat anything!
My neighbors and I purchased our "bacon seed" a couple of weeks ago. Like my pork too. ;)

Welcome back, GAP! And congrats on your purchase. Keeping property in the family means a lot. I'm glad you had the opportunity.
