I feel you pain, I got a three gun match started at my club just so they would get used to the idea of people carrying spare mags and practicing reloads.
In the mean time I would suggest a lot of dry fire... set up a barrier in your back yard or living room, put on your kit, make sure all your ammo is in another room and spend 30-90 minutes practicing reloading, dry firing and manipulating your weapon in as many obscure positions as possible. Do jumping jacks and crawls in between.
This will go far more towards getting you combat ready, a lot less expensively than 90% of what I see people do at the range.
