I have been on the road for the past 3 weeks. Working in Buffalo during the week and going to the BOL (About 3 hours away) on the weekends.
Well I made my world famous mystery cake for a cook-out I was invited to at the BOL and I noticed we were low on sugar. So when i got back home this weekend I asked my wife to pick up a couple 5 Lb bags of sugar for the BOL.
She came home this afternoon and asked me to go out to the car for some bags of groceries she picked up. I brought the groceries in and she told me that the two bags of sugar was for the cabin. I opened the grocery bag to put the 10 lb's of sugar in the "Go to BOL box" and noticed they were only 4 lbs each.
I said to my wife, "I asked you to pick up 2, 5 lb bags....These are only 4 lb bags."
Well she wiped around. Put her hands on her hips and said, "That's all they had! It was 4 lbs or 1 lb."
I have been married for over 35 years and old JohnyMac has learned not to challenge my wife's decision making skills when she takes "that" stance. I thanked her and mumbled to myself.
A couple of minutes later she told me that many items are getting smaller at the grocery store and sugar is just the newest item. She then started to name off some examples: Pasta, coffee, laundry detergent, cookies, etc....She then said, "I have been telling you this...you just don't listen." [img]http://www.arrse.co.uk/at
OK, OK - We have a gas price subject line: Do we need a grocery watch line? Peanut butter, sugar, flour, beef, chicken, pork, etc, etc, etc.
Same price but less product. Beware folks...Beware!
