Bizarre story:
Two months ago I needed some help at the BOL moving some stuff. Well my brother brought a buddy of his who is retired Army. I think he was a Ranger.
He is a great guy and has given us great tactical advise over the years and he works like a 'rented mule.' You just keep putting, steak, potatoes and salad into his face and he never stops. Anyhow, back to the story.
He brought a new AR upper he had purchased and wanted to sight it in. My brother and I got him all set up at our range and he let of his first 3 round string and the rifle was shooting low and to the right.
O-Kay, I just stood there...he put the rifle down and stared at it...Then looked up to me and asked, "What do I do? How do I adjust the sights." I at first thought he was joking; however after a few minutes of me busting his chops he didn't have a clue.
Well I coached him through the process and all was good but asked him later that night hadn't he ever zeroed in a AR while in the Army. He told me, "No. If any adjusting was needed the armorer would do it."
Is that crazy or what? RvR, Walker, Chesty...Are just assigned a rifle and it is already sighted in or what?
