Title: Hurricane Matthew's
Post by: JohnyMac on October 06, 2016, 10:15:14 AM
With Hurricane Matthew heading for the east coast of Florida and then up to Georgia, South & North Carolina; I wanted to start this subject line so all info provided by forum members had one place to be posted.

Now, forum members who will be affected by Matthew, please keep us all informed with what you are doing to prepare. Then if you can, update the UP community during and post the event.

Some of you have my cell phone number, Sledge, Reaver, Rah, ThePreppingAcademy so if you can't get a email out maybe a text will get through. If you are in the track of this storm and do not have my cell phone number PM me and i will give it to you.

If you have access to a ham radio and want to chat via the airwaves, suggest several frequency's to try & connect on this weekend.

God bless folks!

The AmRRON Georgia Regional Net will activate if necessary this weekend.

Frequencies will be either 7.242LSB or 3.588LSB (plus or minus for a clear frequency) as needed.

The website noted is also very good for the general purpose of why we are all here at this site, Not WHY we are HERE.

No they haven't. I am more worries with the folks North of Vero Beach on up to Wilmington NC.

With that written, there are many folks without electricity. Cell towers need juice too so I pray all is well.

I have been monitoring the bands and not much coming through.
