I dont think this has been topic , but anyways here i go. So i was thinking about the types of people that we see everyday and have to live with day to day and i thought to my self what would we do with the idiots we live with, i know this has been brought up but not its own thread. So maybe you invited a family member to your BOL or your house in shtf but you forgot about there punk son, or the "pretty boy" type.
When the goings get tough and the kid doesnt want to do anything cause hes a bum that spent his life on facebook 24/7. How do you deal with these types of people, when they may be your nephew or something like that. Telling them to work when theres already tension because of the situation could start a big fight. What would you guys do?
-
Well I don't know I never thought of that...
-
depends on the kid
you catch more flies with honey than vinegar though
-
You don't work, you don't eat.
Also, most of the punk or similar type people I've met, tend to be fairly tough, and even hard working. Heck I work with a young guy who is in a punk band and he's a good guy, works hard.

could always put the prob. to the invited friend, tell him you don't want to be the cop to his kids, cousin ect. if hes your friend he will understand if not, don't need him in there. if its your kids or cousin..... well you know.... disciple them, just not in anger. I got 6 children over 20, they may bitch a little but they know to do what they must.

........ wow... how did you survive the last couple decades?? :o I'm only 3 years into my first one and I'm coming unglued!! lol
-
If you go to your BOL, odds are there will be no more internet or Facebook in SHTF existence anyway. The problem may solve itself.
-
I agree with TominPhx. You fit in or you will be given a weeks worth of supplies and kicked out of the BOL.
I have actually had this conversation with my brother concerning his son. His son will be 21 in October and he is the most worthless piece of ...... well you get the picture. I have tried and tried to get him interested in different things however he migrates back to that damn computer every chance he gets. Plus he wears a sholder holster! Man O' man a sholder holster!!

and what happens if he hooks up with some bad bad people and he then knows you all and your inner workings, strength, layout, weaponry, ect.....
and he wont be happy with any of you either
you gotta find a way to fit them in or your kinda screwed

Yes Mountain you are correct in what you are writing.
With that said, I will fire an employee in a heartbeat if they are causing moral to drop even if they are the best performing manager/sales person. It has been my experience that moral has gone up when the bad apple is removed from the equasion.
PS: Sorry for the spelling errors- My SP spell check isn't working.

All i can say is dont get into any situation you cant get out of. Its a lot easier to turn a family member away in the beginning then it is to execute them 2 weeks later.
-
You are 100% correct Ken. Not only for a family member or for anybody. Things would REALLY have to be bad to do that.
-
They dont contribute some people on in the group will have them in a patrol with no family members or close friends they will come under fire and that person wont come home. Cold yes effective yes in the situation we are talking about someone that wont pull their weight can kill the group like cancer. We destroy cancer now and we should do the same in shtf. Stay Frosty!
