How "They" Will Control The US Midterm Elections
« on: May 24, 2022, 10:57:26 AM »
I keep scratching my aging & balding dome on how "they" will control the up and coming midterm elections. It is becoming clearer by the day to me now how "they" will do it. It's simple, control the "go juice" of the economy both diesel and petrol.

I can see the price on both increasing. I can see the supply of both being limited. Consequently, the position on mail in ballots, not unlike the 2020 Presidential election, will be put forward to help democracy.

Just ordered an additional 100-gallons of diesel to help our farming through the remainder of the year. Cost was, $5.299 a gallon.

Looking beyond the elections, I imagine fuel oil, which is similar to diesel, will be in short supply too.  I know that many homes are heated with fuel oil, especially in the northeast.  We might see the start of the great die-off when the cold weather arrives.

After 33 years, marriage coming to end.  Realtors just left, place(s) will be on market in a week or two.
My move is from Flagstaff to the Ozarks, probably somewhere around Rolla, MO.
Plants in the greenhouse will go into new beds tomorrow, regardless.
Life has its twists and turns.
How one responds makes all the difference in outcome.
At age 70, my stamina and joints are suspect (  :-) )
But I'd managed to complete adding more garden space here (trees needed thinning, logs needed a better use than firewood), while I' here, regardless...

Very good log cabin structures there, Felix.  I assume either they are raised bed garden walls or you are planning something more grand?

If you are a ham radio operator, you can likely take part in the UnCh Preppers , Emergency Radio Information Network each week to keep in touch from The Ozarks.  Could be quite handy if the internet drops dead.

Please do keep us posted.

Logs to the right are raised beds, the newest to left is "retaining wall" which provides more level garden space without subtracting much from more level stuff lower (in flood plain) where the horses graze.    Today, I will be transplanting greenhouse bean plants to the nice deep soil row created by backfill behind the wall.
All seeds are heirloom and one set is Anasazi beans grown now third generation here.   I will take some more of those same seeds with me.
Flying to MO this Sunday for prelim scouting from friend's farm - will be looking to buy near him, MAG person much more dialed in compared to those in the valley I live at now.
Took the dogs out for last time with last training birds, two pups and one old veteran - they were all so thrilled and all did _so_ good.   Today is beginning of "Stage two fire restrictions" in the National Forest (Coconino) which includes no shooting - got the dogs out right at the wire.  It helped dry the tears of knowing I was leaving "my forest" and reminded to concentrate on what you have and what you can do with faith and effort.
Those trees cut to build with, were trees that needed to come down in necessary thinning on the property.   instead of marginal value as firewood, I hope they will serve whoever for many years to come, helping growing food.
