Title: Help Out a UP Forum Member

I have a neighbor who has a 27 year old son who drove out to Utah from NE PA. to take a job at a kids camp for the summer. Along his journey he was diverted from the highway in Colorado due to a rock slide. His car broke down on the detour and to make a long story short he showed up to his job 2 days late.

Well his job was given to another guy who was on "the list". So to make a long story short he gotz $40- in his pocket and is sleeping in his car trying to figure out what to do.

If you have any connections in-or-around Utah I know a good guy who needs a job not a handout.

His background is gas/diesel mechanics and has an Assoc. degree from a Tech school. He has been working on my truck off and on for just short of a year. He has worked on his family's homestead across from MrsMac and my cabin in NE PA. and has done an outstanding job keeping the farm equipment running as well as helping to take care of the critters.

Mom is an active member of Unchainedprepper and would be devastated that I reached out to this forum for help.

Anyhow, if you have a suggestion PM me and write "bump" on this thread and then post to keep this thread alive.

If you can, any help would be appreciated (NOT FINANCIAL) to help out a young one on his own.

I sent a message to the one dude I know in Utah he is in Moab and will be back to me shortly knowing him.

I have a number of friends in the SLC area. I reached out to them today and should hear back shortly.  I also have family in the Ogden area.

Hopefully one of them can turn a lead up for him.

Yup. Got a job at a Mom & Pop Auto supply store in a neighboring town. The family that owns the business let him stay in their RV while he got his feet back under him.

MrsMac and I were at his Mom & Dad's last night for dinner and all is OK at the moment. We all joked that he will probably find a nice blond haired Mormon girl now and get hitched.
