I just wanted to wish everyone on this site a happy thanksgiving!!!! Be safe and enjoy the ones around you.
Now on a side note..... for those who are going out of town for such holidays, let say out of state. What do you take with you aside from the normal clothes and what not. Do you ever worry about leaving anything at home (guns n gear).
for me it all depends on where im going and for how long. if i visit my family which is 11 hours away and usually at least 1 week duration I try to take all my rifles and handguns. my eagle chest rig loaded to the max with 6 mags. 2 chicom rigs maxed out and 2 640 round tins of 7.62 and a 900 rd tin of 9mm. the ammo i have left i try to store it with friends until my return.

Happy Dallas Cowboys Day! I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and please stay safe. Remember to not put that frozen turkey into a deep fat fryer. Thank you DHS, I was seconds away from tossing it in. ( Not really)

Made 2 chocolate cream pies earlier... Just got through makin' the smashed taters so we're fixin' the pecan pies right now (my grandma's secret recipe that I've been sworn to secrecy on). Will put the turkey in when the pies are done.
EDIT: Pecan pies are in the oven. Making some deviled eggs now. Thinking about busting out the aperitif early (Vieux Carr? Absinthe Sup?rieur)... yeah, we're going whole hog this year after last year's less than stellar experience.
