Wild Turkey and I went out and did some shooting at the range
« on: January 10, 2012, 01:59:55 PM »
We brought out the crappiest wore out, destroyed mags we could find.  $6 M4 mags and some really crappy cheap Korean mags.  We had dozens of FTF, FTE, Stovepipes, Double Feeds, you name it, so we got a lot of practice out of that.  We were also shooting 99 percent reloads, and I don't think Turkey crimps his rounds.  I left most of them out as I had to hit the 15 minute mark to fit it all into one video.  We didn't do much training really, I worked on my trigger control a bit, which has gotten better.  Also, we both showed a reload or two.

Enjoy some of the "isms" from us.

Sweet, only 2 to 2.5 hours from us.  Not bad.  Good luck in basic, maybe we'll see you around.

There was maybe 25 seconds through out the entire video where you guys werent doing something that at a CA range would have the range master screaming at you. lol good stuff...

TG that was a bunch of $6 mags i got a gun show a few months ago, i need to pick up some magpul followers for them. But with that said i really think it was a issue with the loads more than anything. But Ejr's ar had more failures than the old colt just sayin.

Yeah, it could be the aggressive feed ramp in the new M4's that was part of the problem.

With that said, I never had one FTF or FTE or mashed in projectiles before that day, and I always used factory ammo and brand new P-mags.

Also, I never had a problem with Wild Turkey's loads before that day, either.  I can't remember if I was using my P-mags or Wild Turkey's mags, though.  I think some of both.

It was fun to have to be forced to work with a bunch of failures that day.  Gave me a lot of good practice.
