I have heard the discussions in Groundhogese but do not understand the language and cannot translate. I have stood on Gobblers Knob and recited the poem of reverence in his honor. But I have never been able to make the dawn rising and prediction. That is a part of plans for next year.
You should be aware of his southeast advisor, General Beauregard Lee who covers the southern flank and advises Phil on those conditions. Beauregard covers that simply because of the tropical storm/hurricane possibilities in the southeast U.S. He has tried a general spring forecast and is relatively inaccurate.
