Title: Flashlight holster options?
Post by: Kentactic on November 11, 2014, 01:36:09 PM
So im building my duty belt for armed security work. I have a surefire P2X Fury Defender light. Surefire doesn't offer anything open top in nylon. They have a leather example and two polymer holsters. I want a stiff nylon pouch that goes up to the bell and has no snap or velcro top.

I'm actually amazed at the lack of options for such a vital piece of gear. My pistol is worthless in the dark without my light. If I can't draw my light quickly then I can't get shots on target quickly if need be. Where are all the quality holsters for lights?

I might just go with a kydex holster actually.

They might still sell these at Walmart.

Isn't that a baton holster without a bottom?

Ken,
Here is a link for a large listing of light holders.

Or http://www.safariland.com/pouches-cases-and-holders/flashlight-light-holders/ (http://www.safariland.com/pouches-cases-and-holders/flashlight-light-holders/)

Would be better to try them out size wise in person. Is there a police or tactical supply shop in your area?

Yeah I've basically seen all of those options in person at the Galls store, with the exception of the polymer products in the safariland link.
