Looks like there is snow in the forecast for states north of the I-80 corridor across the country this weekend and into Tuesday of next week.
A winter watch has just been posted at the cabin for 3-6" starting tonight (Saturday) and petering out Tuesday morning. Winds to be a sustained wind of ~20 Knots mid Sunday to mid Monday.
Since the ground isn't frozen yet, I suspect it will just be a slushy mess here at the redoubt.
Any way, for you UP folks who live north of the I-80 corridor, please post your final snow accumulations and such under this subject line.

We are looking at some heavy frost in central Va and a few cool mornings in Ga. For the record, I hate winter and cold weather.

MrsMac agrees with you. ;D Me I love it! ;)

Then you have gone round the bend. Hope your wife is interested in bringing you back.
And needs no professional assistance.

We have a winter storm watch posted here in the Adirondacks, with 8-14" predicted. I hooked up a snowblower to my tractor today, while wearing a t-shirt, as it was unseasonably warm. We'll pay for it over the next few days. Autumn has been unusually warm here this year.

Well got up at 0630 hrs and there is 4 1/2" of wet heavy snow on the porch. Not snowing or raining now - Perfectly calm. The temp is 30 degrees F. Barometer falling
The trees are loaded with snow too and a wind advisory was just posted so we may not have electricity in the near future. No worries as it will just be like old times here at the redoubt.
The dog is loving the snow.

Since this storm started Sat night, we have 15.2" on the ground as of 0700 hrs Eastern today. Looking at the future forecast it looks like we will get another 6" until it is supposed to end Tues. morning.
How are you faring Jackalope up in the Adirondacks? I bet wen this is all done you will have over 24".
Take care all....

i'm in the same storm south of you. just flurries and a lot of wind down here.

I love that picture. Beautiful.

We had a bunch of flurries here. I was excited, and a mite disappointed that we didn't get more. We had insane amounts of wind, though. I was afraid the house was going to fly off and I'm pretty sure I saw Elmira Gulch on her bicycle fly by.

I measured 14" just before supper tonight. We have some drifts over 3' deep. My dog is loving it. However, I'm already tired of moving snow. My poultry aren't too happy, but they're still laying well.

Nice pic John
Others please post 'em up too..
Maybe even some footage of your BOV rampaging thru the snow?

Went out today to shovel a path to the truck for MrsMac. Look at how the snow drifted on the roof. You can just make out my home brew 1/4 wave ground plane poking up from the tip of the roof.

I live in a snowless area right ( for now)
Any pics of the dog frolicking in the snow so I cna live vicariously through those pics?

Well we're up to 18.25" and it's still snowing :-( Tomorrow is suppose to be sunny, so I guess it'll finally stop, but they're forecasting more snow for Thanksgiving day until Saturday, so it looks like winter is settling in here in the North Country. I'll try to remember to take some photos tomorrow, when it's lighter.

Holy Cow! 18 1/4".
We did receive another 3 1/2" early this morning but it eventually stopped.
As you wrote, more coming here too Thanksgiving. For us it will start out as snow and then supposed to move onto ice or sleet.
For you folks who do not live near a large body of water like north of the I 80 corridor, you get lake affect snow until the lakes freeze over. Right now it has been to warm for Lake Erie and Ontario to freeze over. Until that we will see snow, even a trace probably daily.

Nothing here yet. Just a little rain/sleet/snow mix last Saturday with no accumulation.

I finally took some pictures of the dog in the snow. We got some rain today, haven't seen the sun since last Saturday.
