Gun traders rush to create new websites as Facebook gun sale ban goes into effect
REUTERS, Wednesday, February 3, 2016,
U.S. gun traders are setting up new websites to arrange deals after Facebook Inc barred private gun sales on its platform.
With gun rights and safety registering as a hot-button issue on the U.S. presidential campaign trail after several mass shootings last year, Facebook said on Friday it would no longer allow users to arrange private gun sales via the site.
Reaction was swift among some Facebook gun trader groups, hundreds of which are based in the United States. Some of them immediately began advertising other gun-dealing websites.
In a chat room outside Facebook on the Firearms Enthusiasts Club website, users complained their gun trading groups had been deleted from Facebook and urged others to spread the word about their site.

Have had numerous groups on FB go away. I'm not that worked up over it to be honest. FB is a private company, and can do as they wish. FB is way over-rated, and huge security wart. There are plenty of other places gun owners can go frankly. Fuk off shitlord Zuckerhead.

^^^ this, or.......
Just don't do social media, then you have less things to "worry" about.

Crudos is 100% correct. FB is a private Co. and can do what they please.

FB is a private company,
Or are they? They are a publically held company with lots of stockholders out there.

Yeah I suppose in a way Kbop you're right.
I just consider stuff like twitter, twatter, FB and stuff like that as being "social media". No web site ever asks to "share this" on your forum.
I guess it's how one individually sees it.
