Post by: JoJo on September 19, 2014, 01:36:58 PM
A represenitive is introducing a bill to eliminate the BATF.

It"s about time. I remember years ago they would harass gun dealers and anyone with an FFL. They would send in a person to buy a gun then he would go outside and give it to an agent who would go in and arrest the dealer for a straw purchase on thier property.
They are more corrupt than even the IRS.

It will never happen. There is little time between now and the end of this session of Congress to happen.

I would say highly unlikely. That would require the GOP to show spine, thought, and a plan. None of which have seen the light of day in many decades.

Wow that's not a completely dirtbagy thing from him to do...

I'm slightly amazed.

Now only if it had a snowballs chance in hell to work...

Definition of Bureaucracy.

Acquisitive Model
The acquisitive model can be distinguished by the following characteristics:
• Expansion: Leaders of bureaucracies always seek to expand the size and budget of their agency.
• Turf wars: Bureaucrats defend their responsibilities, resources, and jurisdiction from potential competitors. Even though government bureaucracies do not work for profit, agency heads still jockey for power and try to outdo one another.

BATF isn't likely to go away in my lifetime.  sad but true.  the juggernaut just keeps growing.  :deadHorse:

You'd still be stuck with the oligarchy nemo
I'd recommend decriminalizing it's jurisdiction by public decree and letting wither.
hail the king!
