Civilian Drone Defenses
« on: March 15, 2013, 05:41:12 PM »
Absolutely love it. These guys are developing anti-drone equipment for the everyday citizen. I guess it's safer than my idea. Drone hunting season  [img]http://www.smileydesign.n

I feel old now...haha.

But seriously, anyone still think there isn't an arms race going on?

Hearing the gossip behind the walmart gun counter everyday, ordinary folks don't know what the hell is going on. Most people actually believe the DHS is buying ammunition to keep it out of their hands.

Grudgie,
I believe that part of the DHS sales are in fact to dry up the market. Otherwise why would they be buying 7.62x54R rounds? For all of the Mosin Nagant rifles they are sporting?

Really grudgie?
I also work a gun counter and it seems most people think that DHS ammo is meant to go straight into the back of their heads.

The perception is just as important. Whatever's going on, it will make a great history book someday.

Props and karma to JohnnyMac.  I have a degree in Economics, but what the hell do I know?  Drying up the supply is EXACTLY what they are trying to do.  I won't bore you with COMPLEX short-run and long-run terminology.  In the short-run, production capacity is fixed.  Maxed-out 3 shifts 24/7 there is only so much ammo they can make.  Long-run, they have to build more ammo plants and facilities, which doesn't happen overnight.  If a buyer gets 1st crack (being Uncle Sam in this case) then the rest of us get scarce leftovers at inflated above-market prices.  My intellectual spooge is like Gatorade, is it in you???

So, those guys are planning to sell something that would tag me as domestic terrorist as soon as I buy one, that will do something non destructive to drones.

I truly hope they will release more information about that, otherwise is plain stupid to spend money in something that will only consume electricity, because you'll never be able to test if that appliance works.

Play video then read for better effect.
You're a prepper and a gun owner. Congratulations.

Come on down. You're today's domestic terrorist, I mean winner!

If it works sweet. I'll take one for the house and one for each vehicle. If not pass, but make no mistake, we're already on a list somewhere. No point in being paranoid as to what will get you on it when you already are.
