California Secession
« on: February 19, 2017, 08:48:44 PM »
Only brought the first paragraph.  You really need to go read the rest.  And they don't remember Va and a few others a couple years back.

But I must say-- this is really a threat  :lmfao:  Circumstances described below will tell you that.

‘California is a nation,  not a state’: A fringe movement wants a break from the U.S.
By Katie Zezima February 18

SAN FRANCISCO — About 15 people huddled in a luxury apartment building, munching on danishes as they plotted out their plan to have California secede from the United States.

“I pledge allegiance, to the flag, of an independent California,” Geoff Lewis said as he stood in a glass-walled conference room adorned with California’s grizzly-bear flag and a sign reading “California is a nation, not a state.”

Please let this happen. Please[\i]

Ideally I would like to see every State succede from the union and become 50 individual countries. And then later the individual counties within the state can succede from the state and become their own countries. And then each person in the county can succede from the county and become a free human being sovereign to themselves.

we have - as a short list
California
Texas
Vermont
New Hampshire
Oregon
Washington
the entire CSA
- I'm sure i'm missing some.
The wars that would breakout would be humorous - if i didn't live there :)
I could see Cali breaking into two states North and South.  The South has the food and the North has the water.  stir in some average human greed and emotion and you have an instant war.

California has three industries: Entertainment, Silicon Valley, and agriculture.

With that written, the entertainment industry is moving out of California. Due to lack of rain over the past decade and lack of irrigation their agriculture industry has been reduced to half of what it was. So that leaves Silicon Valley or the tech industry.

Even if California's economy is the sixth largest in the world, they would not be able to survive on their own.

The Federal Government would stop all air, rail, ship and truck traffic in and out Kali-fornia. All military bases would be closed and government agents pulled out. And if they really wanted to get nasty they would need a visa to get into the USA.
It will be called "The Big Hurt"

Califorication seceding would be the greatest thing that ever happened to our country. It would be wonderful to get rid of SODOM(San Francisco) and GAMORAH(LA). Then the Liberals wouldn't have a lock on our nationwide elections. Now, all we need to do is figure out how to get Nu Yawk to also secede. Then we could snatch a knot in Chicago and Boston's butt and straighten them out. I keep hearing people being concerned about California seceding and I wonder why they are concerned. To me its like having a pervert threaten to leave your house. Don't let the door hit you in the butt on your way out.

Ain't any way in heaven, hell or in between that a group of them will get anything realistic about a state seceding done.

I think someone wrote a song about that.  Some kind of California Dreaming or some such.

There is an article on Zerohedge today in  talking of succession. It doesn't talk specifics, it is more of a big picture abstract kind of thing.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-02-21/break-usa

Basically the article is saying political decentralization is a GOOD thing. Why should Voters in Texas get to dictate policy in New York and vice versa? The whole country should dismantle. The smaller the country the better.

Quote from the article:
Quote
“No people and no part of a people,” said Ludwig von Mises nearly one hundred years ago, “shall be held against its will in a political association that it does not want.” So much wisdom in that simple sentiment. And so much conflict and anguish could be avoided if only we’d heed it.[/quote}

He should look into the theory of states rights, something liberals don't believe in.

Well, the 50 States aren't given many of these supposed rights, hence the need for succession.

They had them but they were either taken away or they gave them away for government money. When I moved to New jersey in 1967 it was a free state, now it is a police state. The people there want the federal government to do everything for them.
