Buying mags for other common prepping weapons

I own an AR, but I was thinking about picking up some 47 and 74 mags (plus maybe 500 rounds of 7.62), just in case I come across an AK platform after SHTF. 

Any thoughts?

id get good with everything else, but if you find a deal on mags or ammo, scoop it up, im sure you know people with AKs that might need gear

If you already have enough food, H20, PM's, ammo & mags for your BOL then sure buy other ammo and mags.

Agree completely.  Its all too easy to slip into the "gun prepper" or "tacticool" mindset when prepping...
