Title: Black Web Series, Donations Needed
Post by: EJR914 on October 20, 2012, 12:06:45 AM
If you can, and you enjoyed the trailer, by all means, try and throw them 10 bucks or so, ya know, the price of a movie these days.

The US Government is forced to create a top-secret black ops group due to a series of attacks that target the CIA on American soil.

Looks really awesome!

You can throw in $750 and have a speaking and acting part in the movie.   LOL

I thought the trailer was okay, the concept for the story is okay.  But why beg for money for a web series?  How many web series out there got their start small time, with the original cast and crew sacrificing their own time and collateral to do something they would love to do.  Make a few episodes and PROVE to me you have a great idea and the ingenuity and tenacity to work through obstacles to put out a great "product".  Then I might consider helping.

I'm sorry EJR... I just cannot take this trailer seriously, and I have to make notations.

Dude's look sloppy, out of shape, and untrained. I mean look at the dude with the folding stock AK, eotech and nods, with a cheap airsoft folding forward pistol grip.
You can tell they just threw him together. His helmet completely unadjusted and sliding down his face. He has to look under his helmet to see out his uncovered eye.  [img]http://www.arrse.co.uk/at

Another dude draws his secondary then proceeds to chamber a round. Because obviously having a round chambered when you go into a fight is a bad thing.  [img]http://www.arrse.co.uk/at

Not to mention the super bad ass high speed mag flip change...

Chuckle

To be honest, from what I've seen I don't really want any part of this series.

JMO take it how ever you want.

I will say this, when Im running my pistol on my chest like that dude was, I run with a clear chamber too.  Especially since that guy was using a Serpa.  Imagine him having a Tex moment from that position...

Of course this is also why I am going back to a belt holster lol

Im opening a donut shop. I have no money but if i can collect $10,000 i will open the shop and you can try a donut.

Maybe the government can subsidise this. It will deffinatly be a good recruiting tool for the military.

James Yeager also promotes these guys. Again im not bashing JY but he makes it very clear its a one way flow of info, that we have nothing to offer him (and im fine with that) but if thats your thinking that we offer nothing to you how dare you then ask for our money for your causes.

If you want to see the movie made, you give money its very simple.

Many, many movies have been made like this in the past, and its been very successful, many times.

Honestly id rather it dosent get made. All we need is more movies glorifying the military so more dumb kids can get suckered into joining.

End the romanticizing and glorification of war.  If anything, bring back the old timey news reels like during WWII and show what it is really about.  THEN maybe people will bitch about all these pointless wars...

Word, it sucks that kids get propagandized from a young age, and do not join up eyes wide open, they wrap themselves in the flag.  Still, I love firearm fighting movies, regardless.

Was thinking about this.

Why not run a Single Action Pistol. This way instead of going through some crazy steps. All one has to do is cock the hammer?

Cock the hammer or rack the slide, both an extra step that takes only a split second to do.

You say potato, I say Vodka! :))

Yeah, that's true. But you/I/everyone else. Can aim or point in the direction of a target and cock the hammer all in one motion. Raking the slide takes two hands. Unless your Chuck Norris
