Are You Fantasizing About Civil War

I ran across the following article Progressives’ Fantasizing about Civil War like Children Playing with Fire by David Codrea on Oath Keepers site.

In essence the article suggests that the Progressive wing of the Democrat party is the largest voice in the country wanting, fantasizing, and/or clamoring for a civil war.

“Chicago ‘scholar’ claims militias would be ‘toast’ if resisting military coup,” I posted last month. A “progressive journalist” was enamored of a “progressive academic,” both presuming the military is as predominantly subversive as they are. It would not only help them depose President Trump, the delusion goes, but would do all their dirty work for them.

And as for the fate of us “bitter clingers” and “deplorables”? They did their best to convince their echo chamber we’d be made short and effortless work of.

This presupposes those who support and defend the Constitution are the enemy. And the whole fantasy seems painfully unaware of the myriad factors that would rise to the surface and compete for dominance once disincentives against them were weakened or removed.

“I stumbled across this 9 minute blog cast from 2016, I think it’s dead-bang on,” “Enemies” trilogy author and former SEAL team member Matt Bracken advised * in an email linking to “Former Red Team Planner For The Federal Government Talks about Civil War Scenarios.”

Bracken’s brief endorsement means a lot in terms of credibility. Simply put, he’s more qualified to offer such an assessment than many, certainly more so than the eggheads calling for toast...

If this is true, this is the daydreaming of children. Civil war would be bloody and horrible. A action that would cause the USofA to loose generations of growth. To be quite frank, it would drive us and the world back into the 19th century.

You're correct Johny, a civil war would be bloody and horrific.  From my web travels, there seems to be dreaming from both the progressives and the right wing extremists.  Dodging IED's while going to work or the grocery store wouldn't be much fun.  Or how about losing a child to a sniper.  Or hearing about an explosion near your child's school, and worrying if they were injured.  Many of the progressives are located in urban areas, and on paper, supposedly these urban enclaves could be choked off so no food or energy enters the areas.  In reality it would be a cluster, look at Sarajevo, that was a nightmare for so many.

Unfortunately, I don't see how society is going to deal with the progressives, who have become so militant.  They can't be trusted, nor can they be satiated, as they always want more.   The current generation of Americans haven't had to directly face war, and I doubt most of them have encountered the squalor and rigors of third world nations.  They're too busy with X-boxes and following their sports teams.  It is time for the next generation to grow a pair, and protect the few freedoms we still enjoy.

 The truth is never pessimistic. I could be wrong but I can't see an all out civil war, we have a no nonsense President who I feel would crush any militaristic actions. That is if the weakling's in the Republican Party don't turn against him and join the democrats.
 Bill ORielly wants President Trump to do a George Bush and not pay attention to the rhetoric. That's just what ruined his Presidency and made him look weak. 
 We'll have to wait and see. I have never been this nervous.

JoJo, you are correct too in that no action = more problems as we saw with Mr. Bush (43).

It really bothers me when people (mostly young) on both sides of the equation speak so flippantly about Civil War. For kicks and giggles if there is even regionally violence or CW, throw into the equation a X factor like stock market crash, attack of Taiwan, N.Korea invading South, Russia taking back all of the Ukraine, etc. things could move out of the regional issues.

I still say, keep your eyes across the pond to the EU. They are the harbinger to what will sail west and come onto our shores.

Lastly, with the election of Mr. Trump the time-line of chaos has been accelerated.
