Am I the only one?
« on: February 21, 2022, 10:49:52 PM »
Every day when I get up, it seems that we are one inch closer to some kind of collapse. If it's not the Chinese taking over the economic market because they are trying to buy up all the Physical Gold and Silver that they can get their hands on, the possible war in the Ukrain or Taiwan, Economic collapse due to hyper-inflation, more lethal man-made pandemics that are being reported, or even our own Government becoming an over regulated dictatorship, then it's some other coming calamity. How many of you feel like things are about as bad as they are going to get or do you feel like I do that it's all going to Hell within the next year or two.

You are not alone.
Life's too bizarre, don't take it seriously.

The biggest wars/upheavals always seem to have "run-ups", a series of minor quakes before "The Big One" and resulting tectonic shifts.     The "little" quakes happening all over the globe and making "news" only mark the stage of cycle we are at in the present.
It is impossible to predict exactly where and how our world will finally explode in its next paroxysm, though I believe folks here have probably narrowed down the most likely scenarios generally.   And unlike the majority, we've tried to prepare for the storm.
In the event, preparations DO increase probability of survival.   But surviving for what?   For how long?
Fact is, many here have collected (survived!) more decades than the mean, we might even be getting "old".   :-)   So the "END" draws nigh whatever happens.
My preps are the manifestation of hope to be a plank in that bridge to another tomorrow.   A bridge I might or might not personally cross but one I hope that those I care about can cross.
Because there is always a tomorrow.   And there should always be hope of a better one, supported by the deeds and stores we put aside now, even as the storm clouds gather and the ground trembles beneath us.
Frankly, I can now join with those who say life can seem a real bitch when getting old, things hurt or don't work so well anymore and you know all Hell is about to break loose.   But as long as you are still willing to say, "hold my beer, watch this..." it's ALL good.  "Easy" was never really part of the bargain.

And a very big minor quake just happened.  Putin sent troops in to 2 Ukraine areas which are primarily Russian speaking for peace keeping duties.

I suspect things will be getting rather warm over there.

Germany has stopped work on building the Nordstream 2 pipeline.  With them closing 3 nuclear plants and trying to get away from coal expect it to get a bit colder and darker there too.

Amen Felix.

Take the time today and Read Romans chapter 8, in it's entirety. With that written I share Romans 8:28 for all that may not have the time to read the chapter,

"And we know that all things work together {Good and bad] for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

That's why we're here, because of adverse possibilities.  Don't worry about the things you can't change, and focus on the things that you can change.

Don't worry about the things you can't change

But recognize them, prepare for them and outlive them.

Thank you all for your comments. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who is serious about this creeping doom. I think it is mostly due to the people around me that are pissing and moaning about what is happening around them but not doing a damn thing to prepare for it.
