I found an article this morning while surfing over at Survivalblog.com called
Making the Chicken Run by Doug Casey. It isn't long so set aside 5 minutes and click on the link.
In essence the article isn't political at all just an explanation of where we currently are today and where we are going to in the near future.
Where we are going in the future will be citizen driven not some authoritarian sitting in the White House. The road we were already on was accelerated post September 11, 2001. The people demanded it and our politicians were only to happy to comply.
The thing that got me thinking was that Casey addressed the old way of thinking, e.g. self dependence, wanting less government not more and self determination are a thing of the past not unlike moving from a agriculture driven economy to manufacturing one. Things are changing not necessarily for the worse or the better - Just changing.
Anyhow, if you would like to comment on the article PLEASE read it first. I would love to read your thoughts.
