I have the farmer across the way buy my Kerosene as he does not have to pay federal or state tax. If you don't have a friendly farmer near buy google "off road Kerosene" and your town/city. There are places that sell Off road Kerosene which has no federal tax you just have to pay for state. Depending on your state you could save as much as 50? a gallon.
Last, keep your eye open for used double walled steel tanks that had housed oil, heating oil or gas. Typically you can find one in good to V-good condition in the 250 gal size for under $100-. Contact closed "quick lube" companies like Jiffy Lube or Valvoline Quick Lube locations. The tanks will be empty of oil and the land lord who's building is empty would love to get rid of them for $100-.
