Thrive Life Cansolidator
« on: October 11, 2013, 10:49:30 PM »
My mom recently hostessed a Thrive Life party. It's kind of like a Pampered Chef, but for prepping. I don't usually go to these parties, but, well it was my mom, so I kinda had to. To support her we wanted to find something to order.

Mr. WPW and I had wanted something to organize our cans and help us store more in less space. So we went ahead and decided to try the Cansolidator. I didn't like it, but it's not all bad.

The good: these shipped really, really quickly. I think I got them less than a week after ordering. They are easy to put together and are fairly customizable to your shelf space. They are also fairly sturdy. I would not worry about putting even heavy cans in these.

The bad: there's only so much customization to them. For instance you can buy a 20 can or 40 or 60, but you can't buy just one more length to adjust it to your shelf width. You also can only get about seven cans in each section of the cansolidater. So you can make each section as wide as you need for each can, so can have a can of pumpkin, or a can of beef stew etc. The problem, and why they won't work for me, is that downstairs, sure we might have 10 of one item, but in the day-to-day upstairs pantry I may have one can of peaches, two cans of green beans, and two cans of corn. So putting 7 cans in one slot would mean I have the same problem I currently have of not being able to see all of the different cans.  In addition, you're limited in the height of the Cansolidator. You can only ever have seven cans of what have you. I didn't have enough room on my shelves to stack two of these, but there was definitely room for another row of cans on top of the Consolidater. It made even more wasted space then I currently have. They also seemed a little pricey, though I believe they are made in the United States, something I'm willing to pay a little bit more for.

I will probably use these downstairs, however, they are not useful to me for day-to-day usage.

Sort of - I have a blog, but only a few posts so far.  I've been busy and haven't been writing as much as I've planned.  It's here:
