That's a nice looking pack.  And price tag.  On my budget I think I'll just stick with my Alice pack and camelback insert.

It's a nice looking pack and if you're just looking to blow money, I got a bridge in Fenway Park for sale...

But seriously, would you really want your water source to be in your pack like that or is that just sort of a backup H2O source?  if I had the money I would probably get a pack similar to it but without the added hydration stuff.  Otherwise, all the features and such, looks like a great pack.

I'm not familiar with Camelback rucks/packs.. whatever.. but it better be damn good for that price, lol.

that being said, I bought a 5.11 pack in multicam http://www.511tactical.com/All-Products/Bags-Backpacks/Backpacks/MultiCam-RUSH-24-Backpack.html and I got a basic camelback that I keep in it (the pack has a spot for camelback-style products) and I paid about the same amount all together as you'll be paying for that pack (the price must have gone up since I got mine because the price listed on the site is much higher). IMO it boils down to how sturdy the pack is, what type of material it's made of.. etc.

if I were you, I wouldn't buy it unless you can actually get your hands on it and feel it in person before you part with your money. just my .02

Hey Vodka. I have to say for my money you cant beat a milspec alice pack. Your gonna get a really durable ruck with money left over to outfit it 2qt canteen 1qt with canteen cup, waterproof bags and a biycicle repair kit to fix it. Maybee even a nice machete. Thos packs are pretty cool bro. But i personaly wouldnt bother unless you find a awsome sale or your get one for X-mas. Just my .02 cents

I was thinking about going with one of those, but ended up getting

http://www.lapolicegear.com/diplomat-3-day-backpack1.html

Don't let the price tag fool you.  This is a very well made pack.  It's not a Camelbak BFM, but for $150 cheaper it does the job.  Even has an internal hydration pocket that fits my 3L bladder just fine.

I've got a buddy with one.  He likes it, but it is a winter pack around here.  Definitely worth the money, packs are very much a "get what you pay for" area.

That is a nice pack do you have a reveiw on it? That is a big savings and I like the look of it.

I use a medium ALICE pack and love the thing. I think if a budget it no problem then get what ever you want but the pack listed above is a great deal and if you can find ALICE packs (Some in that range) those are a good way to go as well.

I'm using an all ALICE gear setup.

Don't really have much to review about it.  It's made out of 1000D nylon.  Holds about the same as a medium ALICE, give or take.  The shoulder straps are pretty comfortable.  The waist belt is removable and currently sitting in a drawer somewhere.  It has a large hydration pouch and velcro tabs on each side of the carry handle so you can run your hydration tube on either side.  Main compartment has a zippered area on the front for flat shit like maps, condoms, and beef jerky.  Two exterior compartments on the front.  One small, one larger.   Tons on PALS webbing all over the pack for more pouches.  I have a a 2 mag pouch and a 100round SAW pouch on each side.  Not color coordinated, but like it said, it does the job.  Had it for about a year now.  Took it camping, dropped it a few times, rolled around in the trunk a bit, still in one piece.

I give it 4 out of 5 Nutnfancy Tactical Nutsacks.  The 5th would only be achieved if I came with a bottle of coyote brown Duracoat(TM).

There's my review.   [URL=http://www.smileyvault.co

Seriously though, it's a good bag for the money.  I have a medium ALICE too and like this one a bit more.  Just a comfort thing for me.

I really like my maxpedition vulture, but I wouldn't forget the old alice packs and frames. They are cheap, and they still work.  [URL=http://www.smileyvault.co
It's better to have it and not need it ...

I carry an ALICE a lot of the time, medium or large.  I have replaced the frame with the Down East Molded frame and the Straps with Blackhawk.  It makes all the difference. I carried an ALICE for a long time the old way)

I gave my CamelBak assault pack to 505th. It was good but it wasn't as good as they cost.

Personally I really like the Kelty MAP 3500, I have carried one to work as a "get home bag" every day for 5 years and I've hiked around with it on my back all day 2-3 days a week for 3 years now. It is showing wear but I beat that bag silly.

I've also sworn off of all brands of bladders but the Source Bladders. They have some kind of liner in them that keeps 'em from getting stinkie.

I ought to do a write up..

I think its a better bag for the money http://www.google.com/search?q=kelty+map+3500&hl=en&safe=off&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&tbm=shop&source=lnms&ei=aw18Tp_YE6jiiAKOrInvDQ&sa=X&oi=mode_link&ct=mode&cd=6&ved=0CDMQ_AUoBQ&biw=1024&bih=398

After looking at how cheap a large alice pack with a frame would be i think i'm going to get one.
I'm not sure yet, I'm ether buying that or a 48 hour pack.

If you're looking at the ALICE packs check with Ron one of the members here he gets them in once in awhile and that is where I got mine.

Good luck on the pack and with an ALICE one you cant go wrong.
