Title: Polyester baselayer for the ladies
Post by: thatGirl on December 17, 2013, 04:52:53 PM
Hi all,

For the past few years TG has been raving about 100% polyester as a baselayer.  Like many other things that are hard to find as a woman, such as good work/hunting/snake boots, I have been unable to find 100% polyester tops and bottoms that don't cost you the arm and leg you plan to put in them, until now.

Target sells Champion brand 100% polyester tops and bottoms in the athletic wear section for $14.99 a piece-- way better than the $40-$50 tops and bottoms I've seen at the sporting goods stores.  I'm slightly conflicted that they're made in Indonesia (and that I still shop at Target  :-[), but on my salary I had to reconcile and concede for the sake of cheap warmth.

Sorry, I couldn't find a link, partly due to laziness...

Hope you all are well, cheers!

thatGirl  :)

Yeah, I bought some poly Champion shorts from Target that I use as boxers.  Some of the waist stitching has had some unraveling... but not a problem if you have access to a sewing machine.  They're still a good deal when compared to UnderArmour's prices.

Underarmor is a small fortune.

If I still had some of my clothes from the 70s, I'd send them to ya T-girl. You would have to take them  up a bit, but oh well. lol

I did have some pants and shirts like Travolta had in the movie. BUT, I never did any Disco dancing.

That is great looking out thatGirl, I know that I have had some measure of luck finding poly base layer tops and bottoms at all the major chain stores at a fraction of the cost compaired to outdoor recreation stores.

Poly base layers are light, warm and dry quickly.. and that is a good thing!

How did I miss this hj? What a great picture! You are missing an ear ring in your left ear though.

I had an earring JM. My head is turned, plus the hair would be covering it.

 Thanks T-girl. lol

As if I don't feel old enough, that little boy I am holding, is now 38 y/o.

TG, they also have a brand called (I think) C9 that has both thick and thin wicking layers. Very affordable and durable—I wear it when I run. Which reminds me, the wife has been nagging me to get back out and run again. I guess I should do that soon.  ;)
