New M855A1 Enhanced Performance Round smashing expectations (VIDEO)
But what is more important than how this new cartridge performs at a national-level shooting match is how it performs on the field. One of the first units to be issued the M855A1 is the 1st Brigade 101st Airborne Division. Chief Warrant Officer (CW2) Daigle of the 101st ABN had the following comments to say about the new cartridge:
After being issued the round, testing it on ranges and finally taking it into combat, not a single negative review has followed
Soldiers rave about it?its "stopping power" is amazing say most soldiers
I have spoken to TF Bastogne snipers that say they have killed enemy combatants at 700m with this new round
I have personally hit targets on known distance ranges at 600m
There is no question that this round has increased accuracy at greater distances and much improved through and through issues
Much more here and videos: http://www.guns.com/new-m855a1-epr-enhanced-performance-round-camp-perry-101-abn-video-10889.html (http://www.guns.com/new-m855a1-epr-enhanced-performance-round-camp-perry-101-abn-video-10889.html)
It must be good for slaying bodies.

At first glance it looks like it has the fragmenting capabilities of a ballitic tip, the mushrooming capabilities of a soft point, and the penetrating power of a FMJ all in one.
Upon hitting the target the steel would be pushed back into the copper jacket causing fragmentation of the jacket, the tip is pushed back into the soft tin alloy causing it to mushroom, and the steel would retain its mass causing it to penetrate deep.

I would agree normally, but 5.56x45 isn't that awesome of a round dude. Back in Nam, when they where using 55 grain bullets and where 1/12 twist things where better. Now it all goes back to the 9mm argument. A whole lot of holes that hit nothing vital really don't mean anything. You have to transfer energy in order to stop the threat.

I liked his YT videos. No offense to anyone who lives in the south or talks like they bang their sister...
But, man... That guy talked like a dumbass hick. I liked hearing him say "trigger job".
He was buddies with that other guy that built shitty ARs and ripped people off...
Someone outta turn him in for being an unlicensed Firearms dealer. Jerry that is. Not the other guy.
